Halloween - Creepy Jack Skellington

Hey guys,

and a very spooky greating in this spine-chilling month of october.

I'm sorry it took so long, but I was ill the whole last week.
I thought because Halloween is coming up I would do something more fitting for this time of year, so I will do a  Halloween inspired look for you.

I decided on a creppy version of Jack Skellington  fromTim Burton's movie 'Nightmare before Christmas'.

First I used my kryolan clown white and a damp make-up sponge to paint my friends face. You should only apply it down to your chin, but not on your neck .

Than I took my white make-up powder from Kryolan and powdered the face to make the foundation stay. For this I used a kabuki brush from Ebelin.

For the rest of this look I used my black Grimas water make-up in 101.

The next thing I did is to paint the eyes. Normally this look would be a closed eyes make-up, but you can use normal black contacts or even black scalera lenses to complete the look and it will still look really cool.
So onto the eyes. First I traced the shape of Jacks eyes, from about 1 cm under the eyes up to about 2 cm above the outer corner of the eyebrows at the highest point. You should have a reference picture of Jack so you can match his eyeform.

I used an angled brush from Primarks "P.S. Love" set to draw the shape of the eyes. Than I used my little foundation brush from Ebelin to fill in the shape I just drew.

After this I took the colour that was still on the brush an I painted some lines from the highest part of the eyes up to the hairline. Later the lines will be blended out, just to give the face some more shape and somewhat of a sceletal look. I also took some more paint and the same angled brush and drew on the shape of the nose and the line where the mouth would be.

Than I coloured in the nose and drew the shape of the teeth on the "mouthline". Here you can decide whether you want to go for the normal Jack look or for the creepy Jack. For the normal look just paint your lips black and than make short vertical lines on your lips and the "mouthline" you just applied.
if you want the creepy look apply real sharp looking teeth on your mouth and your "mouthline".

You see that I didn't apply the teeth all over the line, because I didn't like how it looked, but if you want to you can paint more teeth.  After this I enlongated the teeth by drawing on some crack like lines on the highest points of the teeth.

Than I blended out all the lines on the face and also applied a few more, on the cheeks, the chin and between the teeth, just to give the face a bit more dimension.

The last part of this make-up is to look where your costume begins and than paint a bone structure from the beginning of your throat down to your costume. For this I used my little foundation brush from Ebelin and my grimas white water make-up.

The next thing you want to do is paint the downside of your jaw in black and than colour in the rest of your neck around your bone structure.

Take some mascara (which i totally forgot) and aplly it on your lashes, than you are finished. ^^

I hope you like this look and maybe try it out yourself. I will be posting at least two make-up looks before Halloween. The next look will be Emelie from "Corpse Bride". If you have any wishes than maybe leave a comment.

The last thing I have to do is thank my dear friend who posed as my model. She has a blog herself with photography and is pretty amazing if I may say so. http://klebezettelphotography.blogspot.de/
So thank you my love!

Bye guys and a wonderfull spooky weekend!

Yours Lucy

Disney Princess Make-up Tutorial No.1 Aurora - Sleeping Beauty

So hello there guys,

I finally came around to do another blog post. Actually I already did this one, but my internet hates me and as I tried to upload the post, it broke down and deleted everything I did. So now let's try this again.

I wanted to do something fun, but easy to start of and so I decided on a tutorial for Disney Princess look, to be more precise a tutorial for Aurora, when she is wearing her princess dress.

So let's start with the tutorial. I began my makeup with some foundation. My skin tone is pretty light so I just used my normal foundation, but if you have a little bit more taned skin you might like to use a foundation, that's maybe one tone lighter than your actual skintone.

The foundation I used is my Astor skin match one, in the lightest tone. Be careful with this foundation, because there are two light tones, one for skin with a olive tone to it, which I use and one for a more pinkish skintone.

To put the foundation on my skin I used the fluffier side of my two-sided ebelin makeup brush.

Next I powdered my face with my Manhatten "soft compact powder" in No.1 (naturelle).

This gives your skin a kind of a porcelain complexion that you want to have for a Disney Princess look. To put this on I used the little sponge that comes with it, just because it doest make as much of a mess as a normal powder brush.

After that I used so blush for my cheeks. I used my "dark romance" cream blush from essence and my fingers to apply it, but any kind of pink blush will do. If you use the blush, apply it to the apples of your cheeks and use a bit more than you normally would, so you get sweet rosy cheeks.

I didn't use any contouring for this look, just because I have a slim face and it would put angles on my face where I wouldn't want them, but you can use some contouring down the sides of your nose, the hollow of your cheekbones and on the temples. Just make sure to blend it in properly, so you don't have any harsh lines.

Next up are your eyebrows. The good thing about Aurora is, that she has dark eyebrows so I didn't have to colour them in a different colour. I used my eyebrow pencil in dark brown from essence.

If you fill in your eyebrows, make sure that your pencil is sharp enough, so you can apply light strokes to fill in your eyebrows.

The thing if done next is use the light pink eyeshadow out of my Catrice "bright" pallette and apllied it under my eyebrows and down to the inner corner of my eye. I know a lot of people do it the other way around, but because this look is ought to be light I start with the light colours, so I can blend the others in properly.

Now I took a little bit darker pink eyeshadow, by essence called "summer breeze" (020), which I absolutly adore (I think it isn't sold anymore, so I am sorry but you can't buy it) and applied it on the rest of my lid. I apply my eyeshadow with one of these little aplicators it comes with, just because I don't really like my eyeshadow brushes. (I really have to get new once, but the once I want are quite expensive =( )

Than I took a bright pink eyeshadow from Manhatten "passion pink" and put it right next to my upper lashline.

The last thing I did eyeshadow wise, is I took a darkish purple eyeshadow and put it in my crease. Than I blended it out

After that I took my sharpie like waterproof black eyeliner from essence and applied it in a cat eye on my upper lid.

Next I took my "Miss Manga" mascara from Loreal, which I absolutly adore, and applied it to my upper and lower lash line.

I didn't use false lashes, because my lashes are quite long and you can't really tell the difference if I do, so I just don't do it. If you want though, you can put false lashes on your upper lid. Put the mascara on your lashes, cut the false once to the right size and put the glue on the lashes. Wait a bit until it's sticky and than press it onto your upper lashline, than wait a bit until it sticks there and apply another round of mascara just to blend in your lashes with the false once.

The last thing I did was, I took a light pink liptick from Douglas, out of their "Tangled - Disney Collection" (it is kind of old and they don't sell it anymore), but any other pinkish lipstick will do, and applied it to my lips.

Than i popped on my Aurora wig, just so you can see the finished look. But you can wear this look, probably every day because it's very light and soft and not only if your wear an Aurora costume.

So I hoped you enjoyed my tutorial! I will do a few other Disney Princess looks after this, some a little bit more artsy and some a classic as this one. The Disney Princesses I will use as an inspirartion will be, Rapunzel, Yasmin, Belle, Arielle, Mulan and Tinkerbell (I know she is not really a princess but well).

Bye guys!

Have a great day and put a bit of glitter in your life!

Love,
Lucy
